Further actuators (17, 20) position the tools vertically and transversely. Tool coordinates pass to a central controller (6), also receiving optical (8) and rolling (9) sensor signals, via position sensors (15, 19, etc.). Tools can be skewed slightly at inaccurately driven spikes. The controller (6) implements all positioning and operating tasks, clamping the module (24) to the rails (3) during the latter, the trolley continuing meantime.
