Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0735225A1] The sliding window (2) in an automobile door (1) is held in two points which define an axis about which it can pivot. Stops (8,9) which prevent or limit this pivoting are located either side the window. The stops are housed in cavities (10a,11a) in the window internal and external joints (10,11). The stops are made of plastic or hard rubber. The incorporation of the stops in the two window joints ensures both parts of the window are supported. This avoids its rotation around the axis and the cancelling of any clearance of the window in the direction perpendicular to its pivoting axis.
