Abstract (en)
The telescopic scissor arrangement is formed by a number of links (2,3) that are hinged together (5,6). Two main electrical paths are formed that allow power to be supplied to small electrical light bulbs that are set in sockets formed in the lower hinge points (6,9). The assembly is installed as a suspended lighting unit that has cables (13) passing over rollers (15a) and with a counterweight (14) used to set the height. The spread of the lighting unit is varied by opening or closing the scissor mechanism.

Eine elektrische Scherengitterleuchte weist zwei gleiche zueinander parallel verlaufende Scherengitter (2, 3) aus elektrisch leitendem Material auf, die jeweils an einen der Pole einer Niederspannungsquelle angeschlossen sind und deren Gelenkpunkte (5, 6) jeweils einander gegenüberliegen, wobei mindestens zwei einander gegenüberliegende Gelenkpunkte (5, 6) mit Sofittenanschlüssen (10) versehen und durch ein Sofittenglühlämpchen (11) miteinander verbunden sind. <IMAGE>
