[origin: EP0735627A2] The device has an insulating housing (1) contg. plug contacts (3,4) for plug connection of electrical cables with contact pins (3) and complementary contact bushes (4) as different plug contacts. Several plug contacts are arranged in a row approximately transversely to their plugging direction (8) and electrically connected by a connection pin (6) arranged along the direction of the row. The connecting pin and the plug contacts which are connected together form a pole unit (7), which can be inserted into the insulating housing from outside. The pole unit can be pressed into the insulating housing under pressure.
