Abstract (en)
The interfaces (2) of the filter bar (4) conveyed along a rotary conveyor (11) are moved past a fibre-removal unit (6) which has a vacuum connection (7) opening into a compartment (13) sealing the interface against the atmosphere. The free or loosely adhering acetate fibres are prevented from becoming detached from the interfaces. This ensures that bits of the filter cannot get into the smoker's mouth.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung von Filterzigaretten aus doppeltlangen Tabak/Filterkomponenten, die durch Trennung in der Mitte eines Filterstabes erhalten werden. Es ist das Ziel, die Qualität der Schnittflächen des Filterstabes zu verbessern. Erreicht wird dies durch nachträgliche Entfernung von losen Filterfasern von den Filterschnittflächen (2) oder durch deren Fixierung an den Schnittflächen. Auf diese Weise werden saubere Schnittflächen erhalten. <IMAGE>
