Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0736264A1] The boot has a connecting strap (15) with a rigidity at least equal to that of the wall of the ankle piece (2). The strap is fixed rigidly at either side of the opening in the boot and in the upper part of the latter to prevent reciprocation of the sides and to assure a continuity of the upper to the ankle piece. Adjustable fixings (18,19) are placed between the strap and the ankle piece to vary the spacing of the walls of the opening and to adjust the position of the strap relative to the ankle piece transversely relative to the longitudinal axis (9) of the latter. the lower part of the opening is at the lower part of the ankle piece at the zone between the base of the leg and the ankle for supporting the boot.
