The trunk has a rectangular parallelepipedal body (3) fitted together with a hinged lid (2) at their edges (6,6'). The baseplate and the corresp. part (9) of the lid are protected by edge mouldings (8,8') extending around the sidewalls (7,7'). The body and lid in the region of their edges, sidewalls and edge mouldings are formed each of a one-piece curved extrusion (e.g.10) with straight portions (11) along the four sides, and gaps (14) at the corners into which mouldings (28) are fitted to complete the external contour.

Ein Koffer besteht aus zwei im wesentlichen eine Viereckkontur aufweisenden und über Scharniere verbundenen Schalenteilen (2,3), die jeweils ein in Schließstellung aneinander abgestütztes Mittelprofilteil (6,6'), senkrecht von diesen abragende Seitenwandteile (7,7') und eine über jeweilige Außenprofilteile (8,8') mit den Seitenwandteilen (7,7') verbundene Bodenplatte (9,9') umfassen. Die Schalenteile (2,3) sind jeweils im Bereich des Mittelprofilteils (6,6'), der Seitenwandteile (7,7') und der Außenprofilteile (8,8') von einem einstückigen biegegeformten Strangprofilabschnitt (10;10') gebildet und dieser weist in Profillängsrichtung zumindest im Bereich einer den Außenprofilteil (8,8') bildenden Randbogenform (11) vier sich aus der Ebene der Seitenwandung bis in die Ebene der Bodenplatte erstreckende und jeweilige Eckbereiche (13) der Viereckkontur bildende Ausklinkungen (14) auf. <IMAGE>
