[origin: EP0736336A1] The sieve machine has thin and flexible plastics sieve mats (1, 2) supported by moving lateral carriers (3), and a downwards projection (1b, 2b) at the underside of the edge (1a, 2a) of the sieve mats (1, 2). The projections form two downwards projecting profiles (4, 7) parallel to the sieve edges (1a, 2a), of equal height. They have a mushroom, half-mushroom and/or a hook-shaped cross section.
