[origin: EP0736427A1] A chuck for industrial vehicles comprising a substantially wedge-shaped body (1) of moulded plastic material having a bearing base (2) onto the ground incorporating a metal insert projecting in proximity to the rear wall (3) of the body (1). The metal insert is constituted by a profiled element (14) having at least two angled wings (15a, 16) both reacting against the chuck body (1). Moreover the body (1) has a strengthened structure, and a configuration of its front wall (7) capable to enhance backing of the vehicle wheel. <IMAGE>
