Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0736465A1] The refuse collector vehicle has a cantilevered arm on whose free end is a holder frame (16) for holding the bin. There is at least one gripper (24) near the holder (18), movable on a horizontal axle for bringing near the bin to be emptied and picking it up by its rim. The gripper has at least one upward pointing finger, pincer or spherical element for gripping under the rim of the bin. Between the cantilevered arm and the holder is a swivel arm on which the holder is height adjustably positioned.
