[origin: EP0736622A1] The drive system consists of an independent motor (19) for the mechanism's driveshaft (1), having a controlled output and separate from the main shaft (23) of the loom, with a synchronising shaft (21) linking the two shafts. The output of the independent motor is controlled by an electronic speed changer (18) linked to a calculator (9) which processes information (7,8) from a monitor (5).
