Abstract (en)
The flood protection comprises a bag (2) partly filled with water (4) and placed in position in the shaft (5). Compressed air (3) is used to distend the bag and fill the cross section of the shaft. The ratio of water to air is selected for optimum sealing control. The device is used in most types of shaft and can be positioned on a support frame (6) for optimum sealing. A bypass duct with a control valve allows the underground space to be flooded in a controlled manner if required.

Vorrichtung und Verfahren zum Abdichten von Schächten und Öffnungen (7) in einer Gebäudemauer. Auf einem Gestell (6) wird ein Kissen (2) gelegt und mit Wasser (4) gefüllt. Danach wird Luft (3) durch ein Füllventil (1) eingefüllt. Der Wasserdruck (A) komprimiert die Luft (3) und sorgt somit für die Abdichtung der Öffnung (7). <IMAGE>
