[origin: EP0737437A1] The bose socket (12) is connected to the suction aperture (20) by a duct (22) whose part-cylindrical top lip rides over a correspondingly shaped skirt (12a) on the socket, allowing some relative movement. The transverse hinge-pin (30), on the common axis of these cylindrical parts, traverses a tube moulded in the socket base. Its ends, projecting through bearing holes in the duct sides, carry the wheels (28). The wheels, moulded in resilient plastic, have cylindrical rolling surfaces, slightly roughened for grip, supporting inner axle tubes on radial webs. The tubes are press-fitted over the spindle ends, which, slightly greater in diameter, have axially machined grooves, giving a toothed cross-section that bites into the tube material.
