Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0737507A2] The mixer has a conical vessel (1) with a vertical axis (20), a top cover (2) and a shuttered outlet (3) at the bottom. The mixing implement (4) can be in the form of a screw connected to a motor and redn. gear unit (5), and the vessel is contained within a frame (6) of supports (7). The vessel is supported by a coupling element (10) between it and the frame, designed to allow the vessel to rotate inside the frame about its axis when driven by a motor (11). The coupling element comprises a ball ring supported by the frame and carrying a gear (8) meshing with the motor's driving gear (9).
