[origin: EP0737572A1] The bar code printing system has the printed sheets fed immediately after printing to one or more ink jet or laser printers (7,8), for printing the bar code, positioned radially relative to a sheet feed drum (3). The end of the printed sheet is held in contact with the sheet feed drum via a series of grippers (4) and corresponding suction heads (6), adjustable for different printed sheet sizes.
