[origin: WO9414615A1] In a device for securing and clamping a rubber web, printing web or printing plate on a cylinder of a rotary press, the purpose is to ensure that the printing web is uniformly clamped over its entire width as a result of the torqueless rotation of the clamping spindle which can also provide uniform clamping during operation. This is done according to the invention in that the spindle has teeth around its periphery which mesh with that of racks arranged to be movable transversely to the axis of rotation of the spindle. The racks can be driven by a spring-loaded adjuster.
