[origin: EP0737623A1] A package for body sheets and plate-like elements(C) in general, comprising a corrugated cardboard member (1a), preferably but not necessarily having a flat box (1) configuration, with at least one larger wall (2,3) formed with at least two partially die-cut portions (8,13; 10,17) spaced apart from each other and defining wings (9,14; 11,18) folded astride of respective substantially central corresponding areas of two opposite edges (C1, C2) of the sheet element (C). Straps (19) or similar outer retaining devices forcedly tighten these folded wings against the corresponding areas of the opposite edges of the sheet element (C), whereby the sheet element (C) is substantially suspended relative to the package (1). <IMAGE>
