[origin: EP0737775A2] A disc or disc segment for disc mills, esp. in processing fibre pulp suspensions has, on milling areas: (i) discrete rounded raised surfaces with cross-section of a spherical or ellipsoid segment. The raised parts (5) form one piece with the disc, segment or the mounting plate to which the disc or segment is attached. Also claimed are: (a) a pair of discs with milling surfaces facing against each other; and (b) a method for mfg. the discs or segments.
