[origin: WO9427368A1] A radio broadcast reception process is disclosed. The reception frequency of a reception part is tuned to different broadcasting frequencies and the equality between the programmes of a broadcasting station (reference station) to which the reception part is tuned and of another broadcasting station (potential alternative broadcasting station), i.e. the coincidence between the information broadcast by both stations is checked. For that purpose, the reception frequency of a single reception part is tuned to the reference broadcasting station, then is temporarily tuned several times at predetermined time intervals to the broadcasting frequency of the potential alternative broadcasting station. A signal sample characteristic of the low frequency modulation of the potential alternative broadcasting station is obtained and the thus obtained signal samples are compared with signal probes from the reference broadcasting station recorded at different moments in time within a predetermined time frame. The result from the comparison is processed and a signal is generated if the result of the comparison shows a coincidence between the modulations of the reference broadcasting station and of the alternative broadcasting station, thus a coincidence between the information transmitted by the reference broadcasting station and the alternative broadcasting station. Also disclosed is a circuitry for carrying out this process.
