Abstract (en)
The process creates an atmosphere saturated with water, extending throughout an air suction flow carrying the powdered product of the grinder. The atmosphere contains between 90 and 95 percent water relative to its saturation point, in the form of a mist consisting of very fine droplets of water. Typically the mist contains between 10g and 40g of water per cubic metre of air. A water spray (13) is located at the outlet of the grinder (1), controlled by a regulating system (16) which measures and adjusts the level of relative humidity in the air suction flow (2) at the outlet of the assembly.

L'invention concerne un perfectionnement destiné à supprimer les risques de d'explosions de poussières dans les installations de broyage caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à créer une atmosphère contenant 70 à 100 % d'eau par rapport à la saturation dans toute la zone d'aspiration directe de l'air contenant des matières pulvérulentes, située en aval du broyeur. Elle concerne également l'installation de broyage industriel mettant en oeuvre ce procédé. <IMAGE>
