[origin: EP0739724A2] The mechanism is used for adjusting components on the cylinder of the printing-press, using screws turned by pinions (12). A pawl (19) actuated by a pressure-operated ram (12) engages temporarily with the pinion. The pawl can be arranged to move in a direction roughly tangential to the pitch circle (21) of the pinion teeth, and can rock on a mounting (22) so as to engage with the pinion in one direction while riding over it against spring action in the other one. The pawl and mounting can be moved by a pneumatic ram, and the components can form front datum stops.
