Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0739727A2] A stretching shaft (5) is mounted in a channel running in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder, and has tightening components working with holders. Adjusting mechanisms at the shaft ends are supported on the cylinder ends, stretching the plate in the axial direction. The shaft turns in a support bearing (6) at the cylinder middle, and is guided in the axial direction by thrust bearings on both sides of the support bearing. The support bearing contains a screwed bush, on which the thrust bearings (8) are supported, and which is clamped in the support bearing by a screw with no free movement after adjustment has been carried out. A plate spring (27) can be mounted between the support and thrust bearings on both sides of the former, its loading being adjustable (11). The support bearing can be of spring material and movable by the adjusting mechanism (11) from the zero setting.
