The rail (11) in the opening in the printing cylinder (1) has a holder (14) gripping one or more edges (7) of the plate (6). A pressure mechanism (9) has a bar (10) covering the clamping area of the cylinder, together with a guard. The pressure mechanism can simultaneously thrust the leading and trailing edges of the plate into the rail, which can be retracted into the opening, while during this movement the bar comes into contact with a face (16) on the rail.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Aufspannen von Druckplatten auf die Oberfläche eines Druckwerkzylinders, der in einem Spannbereich einen offenen Kanal (24) aufweist, worin eine Spannschiene (11) beweglich angebracht ist. Die Spannschiene umfaßt ein Halteelement zum Einspannen mindestens einer Kante der Druckplatte. Eine dem Druckwerkzylinder zugeordnete Andrückvorrichtung (9) weist eine Andrückleiste (10) auf, die im wesentlichen den Spannbereich des Druckwerkzylinders deckt. <IMAGE>
