Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0739744A2] An identification card printing device includes a print-station and a station for turning and transporting the printed cards further on. The print-station includes thermal print head a card transporting device for stepped movement of the card passed the print head, an input sensor for switching the card output sensor for switching the transporter 'off'. The turning station includes a rotor on which is fixed the card transporter and a device for tuning the rotor through 180 deg. The card transport device is designed as a circulating transporter on the rotor (36) of the turning station (3).
