[origin: EP0739853A1] The release device incorporates a cam plate (1) and an adjuster which can alter the ratio between the horizontal (Fh) and vertical (Fv) release forces. The adjuster incorporates a spring (5) determining the release force and the ratio between the horizontal release force and the vertical release force can be determined by the adjustable angle position of the effective axis of the spring. The adjuster also incorporates a retainer (12,13) holding the spring in the adjusted position. The cam plate has a direct friction connection to the spring determining the release force in horizontal and vertical directions by means of a stop (4) firmly connected to it.
