Abstract (en)
[origin: US5638627A] A lock for a firearm that includes two locking elements located on either side of the trigger guard. One of the locking elements contains a plug-in unit and the other of the locking elements contains a receiver in mating contact with the plug-in unit via a meshing toothed arrangement. A handle attached to the plug-in unit rotates 90 degrees to unmate the toothed arrangement. Rotation of the handle by 90 degrees after a combination lock located in the handle is unlocked results unmating of the toothed arrangement.
