The connector has front and rear plates (30,52) enclosing an intermediate module (40) including a diagnosis circuit, a connection set (42), contact devices and one or more sets of identical contact elements, extending between them. Pref. the contact elements are accessible via a removable cover incorporated in the front plate, for adaption of the wiring to suit the needs of the customer, with switch contacts associated with the cover for automatic isolation of the connector when the cover is removed.

Ein elektrischer Steckverbinder zur Verwendung als Netzanschlußgerät umfaßt eine Deckplattenanordnung (30), eine Zwischeneinheit (40) und eine Rückplatte (52). Die Zwischeneinheit (40) trägt einen Diagnosekreis, eine Anordnung von Verbindungsmitteln (42) und eine oder mehr Kontaktanordnungen sowie einen oder mehr Sätze von im wesentlichen identischen Kontaktelementen (70), welche sich dazwischen erstrecken und die von der Zwischeneinheit getragenen Elemente verbinden. Eine Eigenschaft der Ausführung ist, daß die Verwendung von im wesentlichen identischen Kontaktelementen (70) ermöglicht wird. <IMAGE>
