Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0740498A2] The connector has front and rear plates (30,52) enclosing an intermediate module (40) including a diagnosis circuit, a connection set (42), contact devices and one or more sets of identical contact elements, extending between them. Pref. the contact elements are accessible via a removable cover incorporated in the front plate, for adaption of the wiring to suit the needs of the customer, with switch contacts associated with the cover for automatic isolation of the connector when the cover is removed.
