Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0741028A2] The printing process has an optical system (2) monitoring the print quality of produced sheet (1) and provides inputs to a regulating unit (3) that has a number of regulating algorithms utilising different parameters (P) to obtain a desised result. Measurements of colour are made on an edge test strip. The regulator compares the different ink colour levels with those that are required and generates outputs to control the amounts of ink used in the process.
