Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0741030A2] A printing process has the colour quality measured at a point and when the measured signal (M) falls outside of a defined tolerance band a corrective action is made. When a corrective change is applied the measured signal is used by a computer system and this indictes that the process is exponential. The dynamic characteristics (K) can be predicted and this allows the final steady state value to be accurately predicted and this provides a new stable condition. This can be compared to the reference value and an early indication made of whether it will be out of tolerance.
