[origin: EP0741206A1] The assembly has at least one hinged panel (2), rectangular in shape, acting as a shutter to the water flow. The panel is pivoted to the ground so that it can be rotated between horizontal and near-vertical positions by a drive (6). The panel is equipped with a reinforcing member (3) which is hinged to it either directly or via an intermediate element. It pivots about a lengthwise axis (X-X) lying perpendicular to the direction of the flow and is connected to the drive so that it takes the thrust from the water flow. The reinforcing member is fitted to lie perpendicular to the panel when it is raised, and on the opposite edge of the panel to its ground pivot. The drive can be in the form of a cable, rod, arm, power cylinder, etc.
