Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0741214A2] Method of connecting a partition (1) or a lowered ceiling to a building structure (3). One employs U-profiles (4) having their bodies (5) provided with damping material (8) being directly or indirectly connected to the building structure (3) or to a part rigidly secured to it, such as by means of bonding or stapling. The legs (6) of the U-profiles (4) or the parts and panels (11) to be connected to the U-profiles are mounted such that they do not contact the building structure (3). With a partition (1) the damping material (8) is provided with bores (12) for passing screws (13) by which said damping material is secured to a floor (2), ceiling or wall and the U-profile (4) is provided with openings (16) being concentrical to the bores (12) and being larger than the heads (14) of the screws (13). <IMAGE>
