[origin: EP0741216A1] The railing system includes an industrially prefabricated tubular bar filling (1-3) which is cut to length on site and adapted to the required width. Ball consoles (4) fit longitudinally displaceable in the four horizontal ends of the filling and are locked by clamping balls (5). Angled or U-shaped posts (8,9) pushed through the eye of the consoles are fixedly connected by clamping screws. A telescopic hand rail fits above the bar filling and is secured between the posts by clamping screws. The clamping balls have a stepped bore. The larger bore part holds the horizontal ends of the bar filling whilst the smaller part holds the cylindrical end of the console.
