Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0742081A2] The grooves (6,7) are contained in the opposite flanges (4,5) of the body (2), the slides (14,15) working in them containing tapped holes (18,19). The driving spindle (21) is near the body bottom (3), and has a peripheral groove (25) between its threaded portions (26,27). Cylinders (35) with forked ends (36) are movable in and out of engagement with the groove, and work in bores (34) in the flanges in which they are lockable. The free ends of the flanges on the body form slide and supporting surfaces for the vice jaws (30,31), which are coupled to the slides.
