Abstract (en)
Operating a coke oven having coking chambers and heating flues on both sides of the chambers to indirectly heat the coking chamber comprises providing the heating flue-side walls of the heating flues with a high emission coating made of a layer of CrO3, Fe2O3 and/or SiC. Combustion is adjusted in the coke oven heating flues so that the heating surface performance is the same as that of the heating flues without the emission coating, and the NOx emissions in the flues are reduced compared with emissions from the flues without the coating. A coke oven for carrying out the process is also claimed.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Koksofens mit Verkokungskammern und beidseitig der Verkokungskammern angeordneten Koksofenheizzügen zur indirekten Beheizung der Verkokungskammer. Erfindungsgemäß sind die heizzugseitigen Wände der Koksofenheizzüge zumindest zum Teil mit einer Hochemissionsbeschichtung aus zumindest einer Schicht mit einem Stoff der Gruppe "CrO3, Fe2O3, SiC" oder Mischungen davon versehen. Die Verbrennung in den Koksofenheizzügen wird mit der Maßgabe eingestellt, daß die Heizflächenleistung gegenüber der Heizflächenleistung der Koksofenheizzüge ohne Hochemissionsbeschichtung praktisch gleich ist und daß die Stickoxidemission gegenüber der Stickoxidemission der Koksofenheizzüge ohne Hochemissionsbeschichtung reduziert ist.
