Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0742361A2] The system detects the characteristic pressure curve for the fuel injection channels leading from the fuel pump to each of the fuel injection jets, for calculating the corresponding quantity of fuel, fed to a display (AZ). The characteristic pressure curves are normalised and the surface integral of normalised curve is calculated, with the actual fuel quantity calculated using a proportionality constant. The absolute volumetric measurement of the fuel quantity may also be provided as a check for at least one fuel injection channel.
