Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9618274A1] A communication system has an ISDN exchange (VSTa) to which is connected at least one special terminal (SE) provided with electro-acoustic transducers (MIC, LS) and associated with a mobile part (MT). The special terminals (SE1, ..., SEn) have a processor (MP) and a through switching unit (SWUe) that allows a connection to be established between a terminal (EGx) and the mobile part (MT1; MT2; ...) associated to the special terminal (SE1; SE2; ...). In order to establish the communication between the mobile part (MT1; MT2; ...) and the terminal (EGx) through the through switching unit (SWUe), the target address of the terminal (EGx) is transmitted to the special terminal (SE1; SE2; ...) so that the special terminal (SE1; SE2; ...) may receive this information and establish the connection. The special terminal (SE1; SE2; ...) further has speech monitoring means and/or telephonic conversation recording means. All conversations of the bearer of the mobile part (MT) may thus be heard at his workplace. Telephonic conferences may also be switched or the mobile part (MT1; MT2; ...) may trigger functions (conversation recording, alarm, etc.) of the special terminal (SE1; SE2; ...) by remote control.
