Abstract (en)
The cycle helmet is assembled by the vendor from a selection of inner padding shells (28) and separate outer shells (14) to match particular sizes and selection of outer shell patterns. The outer shell is located onto a lipped outer profile (26) of the padding and is secured by adhesive eg. double sided adhesive tape (22). An adjustable head band is fitted to the inner padding to provide for a range of fittings and to ensure a snug fit. The head band is secured by a ratchet grip or by press fit profiled tape.

Ein Fahrradhelm besitzt einen Grundkörper, auf dem eine Dekorschale befestigt ist. Ein Verfahren zum Herstellen und Vertreiben derartiger Fahrradhelme zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß Grundkörper und Dekorschale eines Helmes im nicht aneinander befestigten Zustand von ihren Herstellbetrieben zu den Verkaufsstätten von Fahrradhelmen transportiert werden, und daß anschließend in den Verkaufsstätten von Fahrradhelmen Grundkörper und Dekorschale aneinander befestigt werden.
