Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0743035A1] The seat shell is fitted to a profiled guide with pairs of ratchet grips (19,20). These are gripped from each side by transversely sprung sliders (23) mounted on the vertical support frame (1) attached to the seat frame. A slider (33) inside the vertical frame moves the sprung sliders against spring pressure via sloping cam edges (41,45) to enable the seat back to be adjusted for height. The shell of the back of the seat, the ratchet grips and the slider are made of moulded plastics material. The slider is fitted inside the profile of the vertical support frame and is operated by a control lever.
