[origin: EP0743586A1] The integrated circuit has a central reference generator circuit (3) that generates a set value which determines the operating characteristics of each component receiving this value. The set value information is distributed (4) to each component (2) on the integrated circuit that must be forced to the common operating characteristic. Each component has its own local correction circuit (5) which uses the set value information to generate the correction appropriate to the associated component. The correction signal is applied to a correction circuit associated with each component. Various operating parameters of the component can be corrected in response to the correction information.
