[origin: DE19518349C1] The coil former is made of an insulating material with a coil sleeve (2) wound with the relay coil having an axial core opening (7) and an integral flange (3,4) at either end. The core opening is provided by a number of radial slots (7a,..7c) formed in the coil sleeve from opposite sides in alternation. The radial slots overlap adjacent the coil sleeve centre axis, with insertion channels (9) in the flanges, parallel to these slots for the coil winding terminal pins (10).
