Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0743702A1] The connector includes an insulating body which houses an electrical contact (1) placed inside a slit receiving the extremity of a cable. The contact includes two blades (10,11) parallel with a vertical axis and separated by a longitudinal slit (13). The dimension of the slit is determined by the diameter of the cable to be connected. The upper sides of the blades are separated at an angle (alpha) thus defining a V. The cable (3) to be connected is inserted in the connector slit (21) between the blades and forced inside. As a result of the pushing effort the first blade (10) cuts the cable insulation thus making contact with the cable conducting core.
