[origin: WO9521844A1] Compounds of formula (I) wherein: R<2>, R<3>, R<10> and R<11> are independently hydrogen or alkyl, or R<10> and R<11> together form a bond, or R<2> and R<10> or R<3> and R<11> together form a C<2-6> alkylene chain, and n NOTEQUAL 5 2 or 3. Compounds of formula (I) have 5HTC2C receptor antagonist activity, and certain compounds are potential 5HT2B antagonists. Compounds of the invention are believed to be of potential use in the treatment of CNS disorders such as anxiety, depression, epilepsy, obsessive compulsive disorders, migraine, Alzheimer's disease, sleep disorders, feeding disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, panic attacks, withdrawal from drug abuse such as cocaine, ethanol, nicotine and benzodiazepines, schizophrenia, and also disorders associated with spinal trauma and/or head injury such as hydrocephalus. Compounds of the invention are also expected to be of use in the treatment of certain GI disorders such as IBS as well as microvascular diseases such as macular oedema retinopathy.
