Abstract (en)
After depositing a protective or decorative coating on a metallic tape (1), the tape is continuously passed through an induction furnace tunnel (2) having an external casing (4) The tunnel furnace has two sections each provided with cooled induction coils (5). The induction heating bakes the previously deposited coating on the tape and evaporates the solvents contained in the coating material. The solvents are continuously extracted from the furnace. Gas, generally air, is injected into the tunnel at a temperature greater than the dew point of the solvents. Thermal insulation (3) in each section of the sealed tunnel maintains the hot internal walls above the dew point.

Procédé et dispositif de revêtement protecteur ou décoratif d'une bande métallique (1) en déplacement continu selon lequel ladite bande, après avoir reçu son revêtement, est chauffée par induction électromagnétique dans un four tunnel (2) pour évaporer les solvants et assurer la cuisson du revêtement, les solvants étant extraits en continu de l'enceinte dudit four, selon lesquels on injecte dans le four un gaz à une température supérieure au point de rosée des solvants et l' on rend le four étanche aux gaz et isolé thermiquement (3) pour conserver des parois internes chaudes, au dessus de ce point de rosée. <IMAGE>
