[origin: EP0744287A2] The binding device is for the cross-binding of product parts (57) in a folding machine coming after a rotary printing press. It has two binding cylinders (11, 12) with binding heads (22) and a counter cylinder (4). It includes a binding cylinder carrier (3) rotating at a certain speed (n3). The carrier carries at least one binding cylinder (11) with its binding head (22) rotating at a different speed (n11). A bending horn (29) inside the carrier acts as a clamp on the binding heads. An internal surface (31) of the bending horn is parallel to the turning axis (6) of the binding cylinder (11).
