Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0744486A2] A distributer (1) which divides a fluid uniformly, e.g. for supplying liquid dye to an applicator across the width of a textile line, consists of a container with a central feed (4) and peripheral exit openings (6) from where the liquid is taken to the applicator, e.g. in flexible hoses. The container is in the shape of a hollow circular disc (5) so that the liquid flows radially outwards to the exit openings at gradually reducing velocity. At least some of the exit openings (6) have a valve (8) to close off the flow cross- section.
