Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0744533A1] The engine has an oil pump which is fitted on the crankshaft- bearing housing. The oil pump is located on the underside of the crankshaft-bearing housing inside the space enclosed by the oil sump (13) and in the area of the engine front face. The oil pump (14) is driven by the crankshaft (5) through a belt (19,20,22). The crankshaft-bearing housing has on its underside a cover (12) which partially partitions the crankcase and has oil passages supplied from the oil pump. The oil pump may be fastened to the cover, and is connected by a pipe to an external filter.
