Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0744537A1] The individual branch pipes of the exhaust system are connected to the catalyser through a connecting sleeve (6) by means of a fixing flange (6a). The connecting sleeve encompasses individual pipe pieces which are connected to a connecting element for the catalyser. The connecting element is annular in cross-section and is sub-divided to correspond to the number of the individual branch pipes. The exhaust pipe is encompassed by a through-air chamber (15,16) formed by outer pipes (13) enclosing the inner pipes (14) of the individual branch pipes and also by the casing enclosure (12) covering the connecting sleeve.
