[origin: EP0745526A1] The protection is pivotably located around a horizontal axis and has at least one vertical stop component preventing the lateral movement of the derailing rope. It is formed as a collar arm (3), at the end of which the vertical stop components (1) are arranged, extending against the movement direction of the rope strand (7) running over the rollers (6). The stop components are in rigid connection with a guide rail (2). The collar arm with the stop components engages around the rope from above or below. The stop components are arranged on the extending end of a pivotably located collar arm in the area of the rope rollers or roller battery.
