[origin: EP0745738A1] The acoustic panel is made from a triple-layered solid wooden board with two cover layers (1,2) parallel to each other in relation to the fibre direction and one centre layer (3) running across it. The cover layer (1) on the room side has longitudinally aligned slits (1a) reaching to the centre layer. The centre layer has on its side facing this slit layer grooves (3a) crossing the slits. The grooves and slits criss-cross at right angles. The slits and/or grooves can have a rectangular, rounded, triangular or chamfered cross- section. The other cover layer can also have slits aligned with those of the room-facing layer.
